LINQ
Linq is a product service system designed to improve the mental well-being of students. It is built on the three pillars of mental well-being: a sense of connectedness, physical health and resilience. Linq does this by connecting.
By connecting students to each other and creating safe spaces for conversations to happen both in person in a booth or online through the app, with the possibility to converse anonymously.
By connecting students to a group feeling by creating a visual representation of all the users’ well-being shown on mood-screens placed on strategic places throughout campus.
Lastly, by connecting students with the right services through the app. These services are already provided by the University of Antwerp. Think of MOVE, STIP and Students for students.

App
INDICATE MOOD
Upon login the user is confronted with a slider that they can slide to indicate their mood. A daily question is asked like: “What are you grateful for?”
NUDGING DEPENDING ON MOOD
Depending on what mood the user indicated, they will be presented with different home screens in the app: A person indicating they feel great will be nudged towards helping others. A person indicating they feel bad will be nudged to speak up about what’s wrong, and to seek help from other students, Students for Students or STIP, and learn good practices that can improve their (mental) well-being.
CHAT, PUBLICLY OR ANONYMOUSLY FOR SENSITIVE TOPICS
Free chat platform where users can create a chat, respond to posts and help each other out.
RESERVATION OF BOOTH
Users can make a reservation for a booth for a relaxing environment to have a conversation in.

Mood-screen
DISPLAYS AVERAGE MOOD OF ALL LINQ USERS
Whenever a user slides the mood slider in the app and submits it, a blob is created on the mood-screen and adds itself to the overall blob,
changing its colour and form. The overall blob displays the average mood of all Linq users.
DAILY QUESTIONS THAT NUDGES USER TO STOP FOR A MOMENT AND THINK.
The answers to the daily questions asked in the app is displayed. A QR-code can be scanned for direct download of the app.

Booth
A STIGMA FREE ENVIRONMENT FOR RELAXING OPEN CONVERSATIONS
Open to everyone. Displays the mood of the people who are in the booth on the display and with lighting. Glass panel becomes translucent when people enter for additional privacy, and an indication that the booth is in use.
POSSIBILITY TO MAKE RESERVATIONS
Any reservations in the app will be shown on the display, and an audio-visual queue will be given so that any users in the booth will know that they’ll have to make place for other people in 10 minutes time.
